Although it didn't provide Hancock with the big screen breakthrough he'd hoped for, the film The Rebel had some fine comedy moments, and this is one of the best. The landlady is played by the wonderful Irene Handl.
Kenneth appears in an episode of Parkinson from 1980. This is a masterclass in anecdote telling.
Everything about this performance is perfect. The versatility of the voice, the timing, the material, and most of all...the man.
Behold, a comedy genius at his very peak.
"Seven guineas for a bra?...cheaper to have your tits off!!..."

Johnny presents a comedy award to someone he clearly doesn't like, at the 2002 British Comedy Awards. But not before he's had a good moan about the state of his then career...

Kenneth performs a wonderful version of 'The Ballad Of The Woggler's Moulie', live on a Parkinson programme from 1982.
Enjoy, but just remember:-
"There's a moral to this story
Though your cordwangle be poor -
Keep your hands off others moulies,
For it is against the law...."

From 1981, Lena teams up with Lulu on a cover of Wanda Jackson's Fujiyama Mama, and both get attacked by Rod Hull's psychotic side kick in a very funny sequence.
Apparently, Emus can't fly, and unfortunately nor could Rod Hull, as he found out to his cost, one fateful evening in 1999.....
From 1980, Lena gives a stunning performance of the beautiful song written by the group, Badfinger, two of whose members tragically committed suicide. The song was also covered by Mariah Carey, although that isn't what drove them to it.......
Unfortunately, only one episode of the television series 'Hancock's Half Hour' which included Kenneth Williams, survives, and this is the main comedy scene from it. Titled 'The Alpine Holiday', it was first broadcast on April 1st 1957.
Both men eventually committed suicide...

- 'Amazing...a man of your build.'

Rare and fantastic Irish dance display by Jean Butler. This was exclusively filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in February 1998 as a CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) television special.
Beauty and perfection beyond words......
Here, Lena gives what is arguably her greatest ever live performance, in a stunningly beautiful version of Neil Sedaka's song, Going Nowhere, recorded when she was just eighteen.
