This the final video on how to construct a rocket engine. It shows the launches. Again from jamesyawn.com This guy has got sugar rocketry down to an art. I hate not having a camera.
This is a video from the NEFAR site of a rocket that was launched but the ejection charge didn't work and it impacted like a missile mere feet from someone's car
This is a video from jamesyawn.com and the NEFAR site from the florada winternationals 2007 of a sparky rocket. Motor was a Gorilla j-500 black lightning with Ti flake in a Thor airframe.
This is a tiny homemade rocket using the sugar syrup propellant method described on jamesyawn.com It was about the size of a black cat. Maybe a little larger. The case was aluminum foil and duct tape. Quick and dirty. I was out of light sticks so I used a wire coat hanger. The nozzle was way to big and it was pretty heavy. I'm suprized it even got off the ground.
This is a 55:45 mixture of potassium nitrate and Gatorade mix mixed togeather. I ran out of potassium nitrate so I had to settle for a richer 55:45 mixture rather than the 65:35 normally used for making rocket candy. My POS camera phone only allows me to upload 15 secs of video at a time and it was windy out and took longer than I expected to light. More flammable mixtures to come.
